Last weekend saw the commissioning service for evangelist Marios Kaikitis at his church in North London. Marten Holmes, OAC National Director, spoke about the history of OAC and the role of the evangelist in the local church. Steve Gurnett, OAC London Director, gave a great word on the ‘lost sheep’ and Mike Pavlou, minister of the Oakleigh Community Church, led prayers and promises on behalf of the church. Marios spoke abut his life, his calling and his part in the local church. The church was packed to the beams with several of the OAC trustees and the founder David Fanstone also attending. The church presented Marios with a new study Bible.

At the end of the commissioning service for evangelist Marios, the congregation celebrated with a selection of Greek desserts.

Marios will continue working in the London area as a street evangelist preaching on the streets at a variety of locations using the sketchboard, fact sheets, magic tricks etc. There are over 20 OAC Evangelists and Associates throughout the UK. If you would like to join one of their regular street outreaches take a look at the ‘Evangelists page’ to see if we have an evangelist living near you.

OAC also runs training events called “Streetwise” to train others how to be effective in street evangelism. Click HERE for more details. The next course starts on July 2nd in Cardiff.

OAC evangelists are also available to work with churches, to assist with outreaches, head up missions, speak at evangelistic meetings or train church members in evangelism. For more information on how we can help you, email the National Director, Marten Holmes, using the contact form HERE.
