Pray for OAC

OAC Ministries is a faith based ministry seeking to “Present Christ by all means everywhere.” Evangelists can be seen in a whole manner of different places interacting with all sorts of people for one reason - to show them the Good News of Jesus.

This Christmas, we are featuring a short news & prayer updates for our five regions, so please take time to read and pray for our Evangelists who are tirelessly working to sow in their harvest field, the area in which they serve, that most importantly that God would bring in increase.

Pray for the South West Region

Marten Holmes (National Director)

Pray for Marten in his role as the National Director of OAC. Changes to pension legislation and the Living Wage necessitate a re-look at the structures and working practice of OAC. It also provides an opportunity to evaluate and update the vision, direction and ‘brand’ of the organisation. Pray for wisdom and energy for Marten as he balances the national work with his local evangelistic ministry in Cornwall.

Marten will be taking part in open air outreach on the streets of Truro during the late night Christmas shopping period and taking Christmas magic shows in schools. Pray for God’s blessing on these opportunities.

Alan Offord (Evangelist)

Alan gives thanks that the assembly he is doing on the theme “Why Christmas?” is going well as are the 100 minute lessons on the whole Bible. Before Christmas the churches are working together to stage a “Live Nativity” walking through the town with horses and donkeys to the stable scene. There will also be sheep and other animals present as part of depicting the Christmas story. Pray that people encounter the real Christ-mass. Pray also for good weather and God’s blessing on this opportunity.

Dawn Getley

Thank God for another very busy year taking assemblies in the local schools, kids clubs and regular Messy Church meetings. Pray that God would continue to bless the work and use her and husband Mike to spread the Gospel in every situation.

Alan Jenner

Alan and team are involved Christmas puppet show performances of the "The Heavenly King" (in contrast to "Big bad Herod" who also features in the show.) Pray for Alan and the team and for more team member availability for next year. Alan says that there is so much opportunity, which we are currently missing.

Korky and Anni Davey

During December the schools are busy with their own programmes, so Anni has only a couple of assemblies early in the month. Korky has Year 11 at Kings of Wessex School. Anni thanks us for praying for Sherborne School.
