The Year of Evangelism Training Course
Have you been thinking that evangelism is your passion and gift but don’t know what to do next?
Are you interested in official training to become an Evangelist?
Or maybe you want to help with ministry in a gap year at your church?
Are you looking to improve your general evangelism and ministry skills or just dip your toe in the water to see if God is calling you into Evangelism?
OAC are dedicated to training people in evangelism whatever their situation!
Who is it for?
The Year of Evangelism programme is designed for men and women, of all ages and backgrounds.
OAC believes that it is vital for all evangelism and Evangelists to be rooted within the local church. Therefore, trainees will primarily work alongside their local church whilst being supported by OAC. Each trainee will have an experienced Evangelist as a mentor. They will join OAC missions and will receive fortnightly training with input from highly experienced Evangelists.
Once the training is completed there is an exciting option for the trainee to become either a Part-time or Full-time Evangelist with OAC if successful.
What time commitment is required?
The course has great flexibility and can fit in with the time that you have available.
The minimum time commitment for the course is:
- 4 hours a month of online Zoom training
- 4 hours a month for reading and completing assignments
- 2 hours a month of practical training
- Participating in 1 outreach each month (street work or schools work)
- 2 Saturday’s throughout the year for intensive in-person training
- Joining one of our missions during the year
What do people think of the course?
Meet Edward who complete the Year of Evangelism programme a couple of years ago. He has now raised enough support to be a part-time Evangelist with OAC. The rest of the time he is currently working as a personal trainer but he hopes to be able to be full-time with OAC in the future.
