At the beginning of November we had our OAC Evangelists Conference 2025 at Hebron Hall in South Wales. As always it was a great time of fellowship and encouragement. Throughout the Conference we received great teaching to help us in our ministry as Evangelists.
Bible Teaching
Owen Cottom from Grace Church, Cardiff, led our Bible Teaching as he has for many years. This year he led us through some of the minor characters that appear in the Christmas narrative. He looked with us at Zechariah, Simeon and Anna. As always his teaching was engaging and challenging, leaving us with much to think about.
Outside Speakers
Andy Godfrey from Outreach UK helped us to think about lessons that we could learn from the early Church. It was great to have Andy with us for the first time. He brought much laughter but also a great challenge to help us think about how we do our evangelism.
Owen Batstone from Park End Church joined us at the conference for the second time. Owen helped us to think about how we’d got to the place that we had with regards to our culture. He then built on what he taught to help us to think about how we could engage with our culture.
We also had two talks from Charlie Styles who works for the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics (OCCA). OCCA exists in order to engage people’s heartfelt questions about the Christian faith and to help others to do the same. Whilst he was with us Charlie helped us to think about “What is Apologetics?” and about how we could answer difficult questions.
The conference finished with Jonathan Thomas, a radio producer, broadcaster, speaker and author. During his two sessions he focused in on Psalm 67 to help us to think about how we could “Seek A Blessing To Be A Blessing“.
OAC Speakers
We also had a talk from our National Director, Steve Harris. He helped us to think about the privileges and responsibilities we have as God’s Ambassadors of Grace. Finally, one of our Associate Evangelists, Adam Colman, shared about lessons that he has learned on how to better internalise scripture to help us to remember and be able to meditate on more scripture throughout every day of our lives.
As always we had our ideas sharing session which is always one of the favourite parts of the conference as it helps all of us to think more creatively about how we share the Gospel.
Recordings
Most of the talks from the conference were recorded and can be found on the conference talks section of our website that also includes recordings of talks from our conferences in 2011, 2012, 2016 2021 and 2023.
